Anyone that reads this blog will know that I have a love for all things Muppets. So it was with particular pleasure that I watched this amazing pitch tape from Jim Henson for the show. It’s too much!

I showed up for the Trayvon Martin march here in NYC on March 21st expecting I would be one of a few people there since the info on it came out last minute. I wanted to add my small voice to say that I’m outraged about this tragedy. I got there a little early when maybe 5 of us for the protest were around so they gave me a sign which I held up proudly. About 45 minutes later, there was a huge crowd and somehow I was in the middle of it, hence this picture which showed up in Ebony and Time magazines. (I’m the really tired one in the orange hoodie.)
I just learned that the great artist Elizabeth Catlett has passed away. I’ve been a admirer of her work for years. I really can’t talk about how I feel right now… This one hurts real bad. RIP Great Lady.
