Okay, this has been one hell of a week. Getting accepted to Stonecoast was already a real shock. Then when I got home last night from my Morningside Writers meeting, I found an email from the author David Anthony Durham sitting in my inbox. He is a faculty member at Stonecoast. I won’t copy here everything he said, but I gotta tell you I was stunned. I still am. He actually likes my work. David Anthony Durham likes my writing! Dayum! Now, I’m not a drinking woman, but I grabbed a beer after I read this:
“‘My Mind is My Own’ was original, engaging and well-crafted.”
HOLY SHIT! I might need another drink…
