Pooh’s House at Harvard

I was reading about how A. A. Milne’s house was for sale and it reminded me about visiting Pooh’s house back in Cambridge. Geoff, on one of our first dates, took me to see it on the campus of Harvard. I couldn’t believe that I could grow up in Cambridge and pass this area a million times, and somehow never notice the little door at the base of this tree. There was even a little Pooh that lived there. Sometimes he was home, sometimes not. You had to open the door to check. Stuff like this makes me really miss home sometimes ...

(I know something happened to this recently. I choose to not learn about it. Ignorance is bliss!)

I remember seeing a little Pooh shrine on a tree, between the Science Center and Paine Hall, around 1993 or so.  Nothing as ornate as what the pictures above show.  It looked like something that a parent might have done to surprise a child.
